HI:
MY thinking and modest preparing goes back to teh med 70s; I trained and worked as a research linraian : 'data dog '. At the moment I have in sorage basic materials to construct a smll green house or cold franme for the purpose of intensive organic gardening. Also stored are various solar lighting systmes and books and some furniture. My basic focus has been how best to organize retiree / fixed income group housings . And also how to organize 'garage industry' Recycling items from the trash stream into can openers, wind generators, etc etc. re creating small industry. In my former town of Detroit urban farming is startimng to catch on. NONEv too soon !
Currently I am living in Chicago proper. But, have looked at Mchenry and Zion ,Illinois as relocation areas where local farming and garage economies can be created. The ample water of this region set it apart from most other areas of the US. And important survival aspect. WATER!!
I can be emailed at
morbyus 45 on yahoo as anyone cares to share / discuss how best to proceed.
it is perfectly clear that rising petroleum prices ae detrimental to returning to past living arrangements
health

Emergency preparedness is a topic that I'd like to have a much better handle on. I wouldn't even know where to start. Thanks for bringing this up.
