Greetings and Happy New Year!

We’ve MOVED!  On January 2, 2012 we transitioned (no pun intended) the Transition Rogers Park home page to a new host and appearance. This is the Facebook and social media age, and we want to make the best use of it in getting out the Transition message.  So we are making changes to the way we interact with you on the web.  In a world of uncertainty and ambiguity, building relationships and community will become ever more important.  We want to facilitate that process through the use of widely accepted, commonly used applications.

This is an opportunity for us to explore new ways to bring change to our community and share our successes in doing so.  We invite you to continue with us on this journey.

Facebook Sites
We have a Facebook account for Transition Rogers Park here.  Please ‘like’ it if you haven’t done so yet.

Other related Transition sites are Transition Chicago, which can be found here on Facebook, and Transition US, which can be found here.  Please check them out if you haven’t already.

WordPress
If you don’t have a Facebook account, no worries.  We will have a WordPress site as our new home page.  We will use it to share information, which will be automatically cross posted to the Facebook account.

Email
We will have an email account with Mail Chimp so we can send out mass mailings to let you know about upcoming events or other significant news.  The current member list will be imported to the Mail Chimp account.  New members to Transition Rogers Park will be able to enroll in the Mail Chimp from the WordPress site.

Existing Site Pictures/Postings
Do you have pictures or postings on the current site you want to hold on to?  No worries, until February 1, 2012 we will have a link to take you back to the NING site, http://www.transitionrogerspark.ning.com.  You can use that address now if you want to try it.  Please capture or download anything you wish to retrieve during the month of January.
